Shopify Review (2019): eCommerce platform Review
Shopify : Worth it or not?
What is Shopify? Why do you keep hearing about it? Is it really worth it?
If you’re reading this article, there is a good chance that you’re interested to see whether or not Shopify is worth using, well you’re in the right place. I’ve been using Shopify for over 3 years now and know plenty about the platform.
Read on to find out more about this e-commerce solution.
According to the famous encyclopedia Wikipedia, Shopify is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company offering online retailers a suite of services “including payments, marketing, shipping and customer engagement tools to simplify the process of running an online store for small merchants.”
According to Shopify the product has
been used to power 800,000 stores
over 1,000,000 active users
generated over $100bn in sales.
By offering a great variety of templates that are customizable, Shopify allows you to create your own online store without the need to have a website or e-commerce experience at all. Therefore, Shopify is an easy solution that allow beginners (and experts) to create online stores without coding. No software installations or hosting services are needed.
There is a 14-day free trial available. It unlocks all the features, so you can test the platform before committing to any of the premium plans. You can also cancel your trial account at any time.
Here are the monthly costs for yearly subscriptions.
‘Shopify Lite’ – $9 per month
‘Basic Shopify’ – $29 per month
‘Shopify’ – $79 per month
‘Advanced Shopify’ – $299 per month
‘Shopify Plus’ – fees are negotiable, but in the region of $2000 per month.
The first thing I want to talk about in this review is the ease of use of Shopify, it’s something that I found really important, especially if you’re a beginner in the world of e-commerce and developing websites. If you know how to use your phone or even just your computer, then you’re really able to set up a Shopify store, nearly everything can be done with few clicks.
The second great thing about Shopify is that it comes with various themes or templates that are modern-looking and responsive, some of them are payable but even the free ones are good, and I personally use quite a lot of the free themes and then customize them.
Another thing that I like about Shopify is the Appstore. It’s where you can buy different plugins to enhance your store and maybe increase the amount of money that you’re making through your Shopify store.
Examples of available Shopify apps include:
data capture apps
abandoned cart saver apps (that are more sophisticated that Shopify’s out-of-the box cart saver)
advanced reporting apps.
If you’re looking for an easy, professional and reliable e-commerce store that also helps you drop shipping and that’s reasonably priced, I’d highly recommend Shopify, I’m certain you will not be disappointed.
