Four youths have been arrested after an assault sent an Ottawa high school into lockdown Monday morning.
At 9:10 a.m., Ottawa Police said officers responded to reports of an assault with an edged weapon at Hillcrest High School. When they arrived on scene, officers found one youth victim with serious injuries and they were later taken to hospital by paramedics. One youth suspect was immediately arrested.

The school was placed in lockdown while police conducted a search, and police later located and arrested three additional youth suspects during a search of the school.
During the investigation, a second victim with similar injuries sought treatment at a local hospital, police said. Both victims remain in stable condition.
The suspects cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The investigation remains ongoing.
