Simon Little

Simon Little is a Global BC Online Journalist and a news contributor at 980 CKNW.
Prior to joining the online desk in 2018, he worked as a Digital and Radio Reporter at CKNW.
At CKNW, he was a co-recipient of the 2016 RTDNA (Radio, Television and Digital News Association) BC Region Dave Rogers Long Feature Award and received a 2016 BCAB Award for Excellence in News Reporting for coverage of the fentanyl crisis and the 2018 RTDNA BC Region Innovation Award for coverage of the family justice system.
At Global BC he has shared awards with the online team including the 2019 RTDNA BC Region award for coverage of B.C.’s pipeline and wine dispute with Alberta and the 2018 silver Digital Publishing Award for coverage of the B.C. wildfires.
Simon has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of British Columbia and a diploma in broadcast journalism from BCIT.
He is passionate about local and breaking news, politics and current affairs and is an avid cyclist who has travelled by bicycle through 13 countries.
